Well I'm 6 months out!!!! And lost a little over 100lbs!!!!
I can't believe my measurements. In 4 months I've lost 39.5 inches all over... 9 of them alone are just from my belly!!
I'm getting bad at updating this. It's the middle of September and I'm doing great!!! No complications, losing weight, over halfway to my goal, and I can eat anything I want! Today I even had half of a payday bar :)
Went to the ER in pain. Kidney stones and a kidney infection! So glad I'm starting to feel better now!
Took measurements this morning: in 10 weeks I've lost 28 inches. Can you believe that?! 28!!!!
Came to my first stall with my weight. Really discouraging!! I was at 236 for a week. Had a dr apt the day after the week and I was 240!! (Two days ago) stepped on the scale this morning and I'm down to 232! YES!
Tonight was Barton's last night or vbs so they had a family night. They served BBQ, potato chips, chocolate chip cookies and tea or lemonade. I ate a few bites of each thing for the first time since surgery. Yum!
Sometimes I forget I had surgery! Just poured myself a full glass of juice. I can't drink it all! Lol!
So yummy tonight! Tortilla shell pizza! One can of sauce and small bag of cheese made 6 of them! I could only eat 1/3 of 1. Looks like my lunch and dinner for the next week ;-) 
My favorite shorts are too big! Bittersweet! But mostly sweet :)
My losing weight slowed down from my ulcer, but hopefully will speed back up soon! Here's my latest!
Finally all of this surgery swelling and liquid is going down bc I'm finally losing inches! 4 inches and 24 pounds down!
Having a rough day today. Just feel sick... Not like anything having to do with my surgery sick, but an exhausted tummy ache sick. Hope this passes soon!
It's been a few days so its time for an update! Got home from the hospital and took a long uninterrupted nap which made me feel so much better! Bart ran to the store and bought me a few soups and other small items that i was allowed to have while I slept and my step mom stayed home with me and helped clean up my house some. She was such a huge help while she was here!! She even made me some vegetable stock from vegetables so I didn't have to drink the nasty store bought kind! Since I was doing much better Monday she left Tuesday morning and headed home. I really really appreciate everything she did for Bart and I!!!!
Sunday, and feeling great! Thanks so so much for all of the prayers! I was able to drink and eat a lot more this morning than I have been since surgery! I feel great!! Hope it stays this way! :)
Had a little bit of a scare last night from my oxygen levels going down. Glad to be home and in my own bed! I'm
Everyone on this floor is a "fall risk" and we all have to wear these to remind us to not get up without help, lol
Drank liquids for the first time! 20ml total: 15 apple juice and 5 peach protein. The protein is so gross! Even mixed with mostly apple juice! So my step mom and husband are going out to try to find me something that tastes a little bit better, lol
One of the ladies in my doctors office makes one of these Angels for every single patient for their surgery! So sweet!
I was able to get the catheter out this morning, get cleaned up and put on comfy clothes that I brought instead of the hospital gown! Just these little things made me feel so much better! Also went on another walk in the hallway, it feels so great to get up an walk! Didn't get much sleep last night bc the nurses came in every two hours and bc of beeping machines so I may nap some today

I walked a lap in the hallway tonight! It felt really great to be able to do that! So thankful for my awesome support team and the really nice hospital staff!
Bc of all the wires and catheter I can only sleep on my left side. Gonna regret that in the morning! Hopefully I can get it taken out in 2 1/2 more hours like planned! Ill be a lot more comfortable and be able to sleep a lot better!
Finally got some ice... I just ate one piece and I'm gonna see how it does in my stomach for a little while before I do any more :)
I've slept most the day. It's a weird pain, it's not really pain pain just sore if that makes sense. So thankful for Bart and my step mom being here! Thanks for all the prayers everyone!
I can't believe my surgery is tomorrow!! My early alarm is set and I'm all packed and ready to go!!!
Finally got a surgery date! June 6! Two weeks from today!! I had an apt two days ago and I got started on my two week pre diet!
I finally finally finally got the word i've been waiting for, for an entire year now: APPROVED!! i'll talk to the doctor on monday and see when my pre op apt is and when my surgery date is! :)
Well it has been months since my last post! I was so close to getting my surgery and Tri care denied it, only because I didn't have three consecutive months of working out with my PCM. I've been working out with my PCM from sept to April, he had to try several different diets and several different exercise routines. At my last appointment a few days ago he said he will go ahead and submit it! My referral with Tri care for this surgery expires on may 3, so they will have to put in a new referral. My doctors office sent my paperwork over to Tri care instead of the surgeons office. I called this morning and got everything situated so my doctors office sent it over to the surgeons office this morning. I've had to make what feels like a million phone calls since my appointment on Tuesday, and now I just have to wait (patiently??) to hear back from my surgeons office. They have to give my entire packet, everything from last summer to recent to the surgeon, he has to review it, and then I will find out if r can go ahead and submit it or if I need to be seen again first, etc. I'm praying they will submit it, Tri care will accept it, and the. If I need to be seen again etc before the surgery I can do it that way instead of having to drive to Columbia now. Soo all the prayers I can get would be appreciative! Pray that the surgeon has time to review my file sooner rather than later. Pray that he can go ahead and submit it to Tri care and that Tri care will approve it, so we can go from there. I'm still so excited for my surgery but I'm stressing out over all these doctors appointments and how long this journey has been going for me. I'm trying to be extremely patient but it's hard. Thanks everyone!
